रिमझिम रिमझिम मेहा बरसे, बिजुरी चमके सावन में,
घटा घूम घन बादल गरजे, डरे पियारी सावन में.

पिया गए परदेस सखी मैं पड़ी अकेली सावन में,
सूनी सेज पर नींद न आवे बिरही सतावे सावन में.

मत मुझे सताओ सावन में तन दिल बहलाओं सावन में,
पकड़ के पंजा गले लगे तब खुशु भई वो सावन में.

पहुँच गए भगवान् गुरु जाकर समझाया सावन में,
उठो पियारी चेत करो तुम दिया जालों सावन में.

Rimjhim Rimjhim mēhā barasē,
bijurī chamakē sāvana mēin,
Ghaṭā ghūma ghana bādala garajē,
ḍarē piyārī sāvana mēin.

Piyā gayē paradēsa sakhī main padī akēlī sāvana mēin,
Sūnī sēja para nīnda na āvē birahī satāvē sāvana mēin.

Mat mujhē satāō sāvana mēin tana dila bahalāōn sāvana mēin,
Pakad kē pan̄jā galē lagē tab khuśhi bhaī vō sāvana mēin.

Pahumncha gaē bhagavān guru jākara samajhāyā sāvana mēin,
Uṭhō piyārī chēta karō tuma diyā jālaō sāvana mēin.

'RimJhim Rimjhim' - the sound of raindrops, the flashes of lighting, during the monsoons,
The loud thunders of the wandering clouds,frighten my naive spirit, during the monsoons.

Oh friend! My lover is not in town and I am lonely - during the monsoons,
It's hard to sleep alone on the bed,loneliness troubles me - during the monsoons.

Please come back my beloved, don't leave me alone during the monsoons, just please my heart during the monsoons,
A tight hug from you, oh loved one! gives me warmth and happiness during the monsoons.
